Points that I would like you to consider!

To all my fellow citizens, I would really appreciate your votes. I know for some of you it will be hard to do because I am a Republican candidate or because the news says that I don't have the experience.  But just keep in mind that we are all fellow Americans and  that I am running because I care, I know that no matter what the news or others say that I can make a difference in the county.  I am capable of managing the budget and the whole department and it's operations.  Something that the news and others did not say is that no sheriff does every single thing that needs to be done by their self, that is why there is an administrative team and a staff!

  1)  I have real issues that I will address and start working on that affect every citizens quality of life and safety.  Mr. Clayton never mentions them like I have on my website and literature.      2)  Dan Minzey inherited a problematic department, though Ron Schiebel was a good sheriff.  Mr. Schiebel was obviously able to rectify many of the problems but they still existed under the surface.  Under Mr. Minzey's administration those problems began to resurface and some new ones began also that helped create that failed administration.      3)  Jerry Clayton was/is a part and product of that same failed administration.      4)  Why did Mr. Clayton choose to run now?  He and others said that they knew/know that there was a lack of strong leadership and disciplinary problems.  So, he and others just let a failing administration go unopposed to carry on into a second term in 2004.  This very well may have allowed many negative situations to occur because no one stepped up or even spoke out.  So what happened to giving the citizens of our county a better choice?  What happened to doing what is right when you know there is a problem that may only worsen?  NOTHING HAPPENED until 2008!  Four years too late!
