Safety on Campus

I seem to be hearing about problems at Eastern Michigan University from a lot of students as well as residents' of the area.  I would say that there does seem to be some kind of issue there that needs attention.  I must say that we will always have crimes being committed, I believe that it is just a given.  But we very well can do our best to try to reduce the frequency of which they are occurring.  Although EMU has their own police department and security I feel that the sheriff's department still has a responsibility to ensure the safety and security on that campus as well as all others in the county.
